To The Trannie on the Train

Girl--you got it mostly right today, but I have a few pointers for you so you pass as a real female a little better.

  1. I really liked your outfit. Cute, trendy. I wonder where you found the sizes to fit such a tall, broad shouldered gal such as yourself. However, the shoes were a dead giveaway. Next time go for a nice boot or ballet flat and skip the $5 Saturday night hooker shoes. Great for a drag show, but not so wonderful for the office.
  2. For the most part, only men have blue/black color blindness, so have someone check that you are truly wearing all black or skip it all together.
  3. Most importantly.....learn the difference between tights and leggins'. Your sweater dress was a wee short & when you sat down, we all saw what your momma gave you.
Keep up the good work & you'll look like the rest of the lady commuters soon.

No One Will Steal Your Wheelchair

A few months ago, we were driving down Argyle Street and saw something you definitely don't see in Naperville. There was an electric wheelchair u locked to the bicycle rack. My question was where is that person now? Did they miraculously get healed and walk away? You figure it out.

Welcome!!!

Quite a while back Amy & I (yes, both of us are Amy!) started noticing things around the city that really make city life interesting and unique. We love city life and living in the burbs would be a nightmare for us all.

We started remarking that "you don't see that in Naperville" (which for you non-Chicago people is a way west suburb) to anything that we saw that was unique to city life. Hence the birth of this blog.

We hope to be able to get pictures of some of these occurrences also, but we'll have to be quick! Feel free to send us your city life stories/pictures and we'll post those as well.
